Pacific Highlands Farmers Market at Canyon Crest Academy

The new Pacific Highlands Farmers Market held at Canyon Crest Academy is now open every Thursday from 3:30pm – 7:00 pm. It's a Luv Thing will be there each week, fully stocked up on new product for the shoppers. The market has all California grown produce, baked goods, artisan products and of course, me and Dolly. See you there!

 

 

Feeling the Luv & the BURN at Studio Barre

I hung out at Studio Barre a week or so ago and had a such a blast. It was so fun to see so many of my customers and catch up. Shannon and her team have done such a great job with the beautiful new expanded space, as well as creating a fun energetic rocking place that you just want to be there. I felt so at home that I kind of decided to move in!

Now you can find a pretty good selection of Luv Thing product while you workout. Yesterday I had a blast taking over the back wall, helping customers, and even taking a class!! I will admit I hated my first class, and everyone should, it is a killer!! Yesterday I was up for it though, ready to burn off some crazy energy and maybe even a cinnamon roll or two! It was great, and I am feeling the burn today.  I plan to be popping in and out of Studio Barre often to stock product and take some classes. You can now catch me there on Mondays from nine to noon. Come by, shop, say hello and get your burn on!   

New Farmers Market and Wildfox

Hi friends,

Change of venue for this Thursday! I am excited to check out a new farmers market tonight at Canyon Crest Academy from 3 to 7p.m. It will be a similar set up as the Leucadia one which is a great market. Holli from Leather Girl Kelly is hopping in my bus with some of her insane recycled leather handbags and accessories. This should be fun night so bring your family, grab dinner, grocery shop, and get a treat for yourself. What's not to like?

 

I have had some good times rolling up lately and definitely plan to make it to Studio Barre in La Costa  again soon. So fun to see so many of you there, you women are inspiring!

Come find me this week again at Cafe Ipe on Saturday morning for live music, great coffee, and fun from 10 to 12 and Leucadia farmers market

Circle at Soleil: Fundraiser for Anna's Second Wind

The following letter is from Heather O'Quinn, organizer of Circle.

Before you read this letter I want you to take a big beautiful deep breath...... and release...... Feel how delicious it is to bath your sweet lungs with breath, oxygenating your brain, and body.... 

(Anna Young simply cant do this without extreme effort and pain....)

 

I first met Anna in a CIRCLE gathering at Bergamot Spa. My attention was glued on her as she labored to breath the entire night. Fast forward Anna and I became friends and over time she candidly shared her journey with a rare Lung Dis- ease she has been struggling with since she was 8 years old.

 

Recently Anna contacted me to share the news that she had been accepted as a candidate for a double lung transplant and would be placed on the official list. (This is her only hope to live a "normal" healthy life)  Our conversation immediately jumped to the financial aspects of this daunting procedure. 24 hr care for a month post transplant, helicopter transport when she gets the call, food, medicines etc. and not to mention the cost of the surgery itself. (Thank the Goddess for her insurance that has paid a HUGE chunk of the surgery) but there is still a hefty balance to be paid & Anna can't work as she is currently in and out of the hospital.

 

The decision to donate 100%  of the CIRCLE registration fees to Anna came from my initial feeling of helplessness. I moved into my heart and asked The Divine "what can "I" do for this woman who is suffering so much?"...... CIRCLE was the answer.... CIRCLE, gather the tribe, connect to the ONE HEART and dive deep! ..."YEP" I said... "This IS what I can do"

 

From this point forward the Divine has completely taken over. The beautiful owners of Soleil Yoga donated the space & the Retail Goddesses of North County have organized a pre CIRCLE Love filled shopping experience you dont want to miss! (Thank you in advace to Lily Girl Jewelry, Malaika accessories, Lemongrass Garden Boutique. It's a Luv thing and Ash Francomb!)

 

So as we prepare to Gather on Saturday April 21st I would ask each and every one of you taking the time to read this to say a prayer for Anna's healing and safe journey on her path to the transplant. Send her a prayer for easy breath and a pain free body! (Do it now!!!!! please....)

 

Note: I was with Anna this last weekend. She is currently in ICU experiencing pain that we cant imagine. Our sister needs us! Lets do what we can do... Lets CIRCLE.

Anna's Second Wind

I am so grateful to say that I had non stop amazing women coming through my door over  the past several days to shop. It wasn't crazy by any means but a steady flow of 1 or 2 people shopping and sharing. The highlight of my day was when I had just one customer. A very special one, Anna Young. Anna has been shopping at my store for a long time. I know her, as many of you probably do. She is absolutely gorgeous and looks so full of life, however something so simple like breathing has never been an easy task . We talked for a couple hours, Anna shared her story and told me about the upcoming double lung transplant that she is about to have. Breathing, something most of us take for granted, but not Anna. I was amazed at her strength as I listened.

In a matter of weeks, Anna will be put on the transplant list, hard for anyone to wrap their head around, waiting for that kind of call. Once she receives the double lung transplant she will need 24 hour home care for 2 months in the LA area.  

This girl has a long road ahead and really needs the support of our community. 

Heather O'quinn has organized a beautiful Circle and shopping event at Soleil yoga on April 21st.
